Pokémon Story is a story that I wrote. It includes the classic Pokémon we all love and my own Pokémon that I created. This is a story about Ash, the guy from Pallet Town, as he tries to catch all the Pokémon possible. So read on about Ash and his adventures...
"Ash! Wake up!", Ash's mom yelled.
"Huh? Oh, no I'm late!", Ash cried out. "Sorry mom, no time for breakfast!"
Today is the day when all the young children from Pallet meet and receive their frist Pokémon. The Pokémon are handed out by Professor Oak.
"(Huff),(Puff). I can't believe I'm late", Ash grumbled to himself.
In the distance Ash could see a crowd of people around Professor Oak's house.
"Professor Oak! Don't forget about...MEEEEEE!" After yelling, Ash fell to the ground. "Hey you tripped me!"
Standing there was a young man with a golden Pokéball necklace around his neck. "Hey watch where you're going!", the man said. "Oh! It's you Ash. It's about time."
"Wha? Wh..who are you?", Ash stuttered.
"I'm Gary Oak! Professor Oak's nephew!"
"YOU'RE related to professor Oak?"
"Wow! You're swift! So Ash where were you?"
"I...well..."
Ash stopped when he saw Professor Oak.
"Professor where's my Pokémon?"
A tall man with white hair turned around looking confused.
"Huh? Oh, Ash!", Professer Oak sputtered out. "Your Pokémon? Well, uh...well there...aren't any more.
"No more Pokémon", Ash questioned. "None at all? I'll take anything!"
"Well there is this one." Professor Oak threw a Pokéball. It fell on the ground and cracked open. A scaley fish flopped out. "This is a -".
"Magikarp", Ash interupted. Ash looked at the Pokémon, then at Professor Oak. "Well ALMOST anything!"
"The only thing I can do is give you some Poison Powder. You'll have yo catch your own Pokémon."
"Okay", Ash groaned.
"Um... there aren't any Pokédexes lest either."
"Oh!"
"Well..." Professor Oak pulled out a Pokédex a color other than the usual red.
"A blue Pokédex?"
"This is the only new Pokédex I have. I was going to keep it for myself, but I am too old to go around catching Pokémon. You take it Ash."
"Thanks Professor."
With his new Pokédex, a couple Pokéballs, and the Poison Powder, given to him by Professor Oak, Ash started his journey to become the world's number one Pokémon trainer.
As Ash headed for Viridian City, he wondered off path to gain cover from the rain.
"Man I'm glad this tree was here! The rain is really coming down now." As Ash sat under the tree the came down harder and harder until in stopped. "Huh? The rain was just pouring and then it stopped! Wha? What's that?"
A small creature emerged from the small brush across the path.
"Pika pi! Pi pi? Pika pika blu? It was about one and a half feet tall with small curved ears and a ball on the end of its tail. It was covered in blue except the small circle of white on its stomach. "Pikablu!"
"Pikablu huh?" Ash pulled out his Pokédex.
"Hello trainer! I am the improved version of Dexter", the machine foretold.
"It talks!", Ash cried. "Um...Dexter scan this...thing."
"Pikablu, a water Pokémon. Very similar to its cousin Pikachu. It uses bubble based attacks to incase its enemies."
"My first Pokémon!" Ash pulled the Poison Powder out of his pocket. "Come here little guy. I won't hurt you." When the Pokémon was within range Ash threw the powder. First it coughed, then it sneezed. It wobbled back and forth and then fell to the ground. Ash was holding a small ball in his hand. He pushed a spot in the center then threw it at the Pokémon. The ball touched the huddled mass then absorbed its presence.
When the ball quit moving Ash walked over and picked it up. "All right! I cought Pikablu" Triumphently Ash marched toward Viridian City.
"HEY YOU!", a voice cried out.
"Huh? Who's there?", Ash demanded.
"Don't worry I won't hurt you!" A man in a long black trenchcoat was standing there."I'm a Pokémon trainer. Are you?"
"HA! Am I a trainer? I am the going to be the number one Pokémon Master!"
"Oh really? You wanna battle?"
"Battle? Yeah! Let's go!"
"All right. Go, Rattata."
"Go Pikablu!" Ash sent his solo Pokémon to battle.
Secretly Ash pulled out his Pokédex and whispered to it. "What are Pikablu's attacks?"
"Pikablu's attacks", Dexter chimned. "Water Gun, Bubblebeam, Bubble-"
"Yeah yeah", Ash interupted shoving the computer back into his pocket.
"You Ready?", the man inquired.
"Yeah, I'm ready. Pikablu, BubbleBeam." The Pokémon put its hands out and created a bubble. Behind it another formed. Behind that, another. Very rapidly bubbles streached from one Pokémon to the other. The opponents Pokémon was incased in a bubble within seconds. "Alright Pikablu, Tackle!" Pikablu got down on all fours and dashed at the incased Rattata.
"NO!", the trainer cried out. "Rattata!"
The bubble popped and the rat Pokémon fell to the ground.
"Yes! Our first victory! Pikablu return.", Ash shouted. A beam of red light emited from the Pokéball hitting the Pokémon. After turning the same shade of red as the beam, both returned to the ball.
"No! I lost", the trainer complained. "Well kid, keep battling like that and I'm sure you'll reach your goal."
"Thanks. Well I better get going if I want to make Viridian City by dusk."
"Viridian? That's right over those hills there."
"Thank you again. See you around."
"Good Bye."
When the man was out of sight Ash headed for the hills. After walking for a few minutes he was comfronted by a strange thing.
"What's that?", Ash interogged.
Partially sticking out of Ash's pocket Dexter chimned. "Diglett, a mole Pokémon of the ground type. Able to knock down whole buildings just by dig underneath them."
"Wow! That's strong!. Alright Pikablu, here we go again. Water Gun!" Pikablu got down on all fours sticking its tail forward. In seconds the blue on its tail began to stretch. Water flew hitting the groundling Pokémon. After shaking off the water Diglett flew into the ground at the speed of light.
"Oh no you don't", Ash yelled. He ran to the hole left behind and dropped a Pokéball down. After a while a click sounded from the hole. "Pikablu flood the hole."
The water filled up and a closed Pokéball emerged on top. Ash picked it up and threw it to the ground. It cracked and the form of a small animal ,less than a foot high, appeared to be stuck in the ground.
"Diglett dig!", the creature sounded.
"Alright I caught a Pikablu and a Diglett all in one day!", Ash bragged to himself.
Without anymore interuptions Ash finally makes it to Viridian City. It was a shabby little town. Their was the Pokémart. Next to it was the PokéCenter, a hospital for Pokémon.
"Hey! What's that?", Ash said aloud. "Is that a...?"
"HEY KID! YOU CAN'T BE HERE!", a voice rang out.
"Huh? Why not? Is this a gym?"
"This is THE gym."
"Alright I can't wait to get my first badge!"
"HEY! You can't battle now! The gym leader isn't here."
"Where is he?"
"He's...out."
"Oh!"
"Hey kid!", another voice called.
"Huh? Where are you?", Ash asked.
"Over here. Around the mart."
"What to you want?"
"Do you know how to catch Pokémon?"
"Of course I know how to catch Pokémon. I already have two.
"Only two!? What are they, a Pidgey and a Rattata?"
"A wha-dgey?"
"You've never seen a Pidgey before? What Pokémon do you have?"
"I have a Diglett and a...a...Pika...something."
"A Pikachu?"
"No that's not it? It's uh Pika...BLU!"
"Pikablu? What's that?"
"Here I'll show you." Ash threw his Pokéball to the ground. The red light once again came from inside. Again the shape of Pikablu formed. "This is the one."
"What IS that? I've never seen one before." The man pulled out his original red Pokédex. "Dexter scan this Pokémon."
"Searching", the machine sputtered. "No entry found."
"Kid I don't what this is but it isn't a Pokémon."
"Sure it is." Ash pulled out his blue Pokédex and scanned Pikablu.
"Pikablu, a water Pokémon. Very similar looking to its cousin Pikachu. It uses bubble based attacks to incase its enemies", Dexter repeated.
"See I told you!", Ash said to the man.
"Kid, I think this may be the only Pikablu in the world!"
"The only Pikablu?"
"Say, my child likes Pokémon! Do you think you could battle?"
"Batlle? Sure!"
"Great I would love to see that thing fight."
The man ran into a near by house. When he returned, a child, near Ash's, age followed from behind.
"A girl?", Ash asked in confusion.
"This is my daughter, Erika", the man said.
"Erika? I've heard of you! Don't you sell flowers in Pallet?
"That's right", Erika answered.
"So you want to battle me huh? Let's go!"
"Alright but I better warn you! You'll need lots of Paralyz Heal after this battle."
"Ha! I don't need anything. Let's battle!
"Alright, I choose Oddish!" The girl threw a Pokéball and out of it can a small round Pokémon with leaves sticking out from its head.
"Alright I choose you Pikablu!" Ash repeated his steps once again.
"Pikablu what's that?"
"Pikablu! Water Gun." Pikablu shot water from its tail directly at Oddish. "What? It didn't even hurt you're Pokémon."
"Alright you have a water Pokémon this should be easy! Oddish Vine Whip!" The small Pokémon extended its leaves and sliced Pikablu. "Water Pokémon are weak against plant Pokémon!"
"Ash! Switch Pokémon", the man whispered.
"Uh...Pikablu return!" Ash put Pikablu's Pokéball back in his pocket. "Hey where's my other Pokémon? Hey Diglett!" A small creature emerged from the surface. "How did you get out of your Pokéball?"
"Some Pokémon don't like to stay in their Pokéballs. Instead they insist that you let them roam free", Erika noted.
"I can live with that. Diglett go! Alright I remember a little bit of Diglett's moves. Diglett, Rock Slide!" The little mole Pokémon sank into the ground. Nothing happened for a bit then a crack in a nearby moutain occured. Small rocks grew to bigger ones as they fell towards Oddish.
"Oddish, return!" Erika pulled another Pokéball from her pocket. "Alright Bellsprout, go!" Another small plant Pokémon came from Erika.
"Another plany Pokémon?"
"Didn't you hear? That's my specialty! Alright Bellsprout Razor Leaf!" The Pokémon spun in circles emiting little leaves.
"On, no Diglett! Okay, it's your turn again Pikablu" Diglett moved to the sidelines next to Ash. "Pikablu use one of your attacks I do't know!
"Pika?" The small creature turned looking confused.
"Use something that plants are weak against!", Ash whispered. Pikablu made like it was going to use BubbleBeam but the bubble in front froze. It stretched and struck Erika's Bellsprout. "Looks like you need some Ice Heal!"
"Bellsprout return! Wow! That was pretty good considering both of of your Pokémon were weak against plant Pokémon!"
"They were weak against plant?"
"You did't know? Mabey I should come along with you for a little while!?"
"Um...okay! I can always use an extra hand."
"Father is it alright if I travel with Ash?"
"I see no harm in that", the man said.
"Great than let's get moving! I wanna get somewhere before dark."
"We can stay at the PokémonCenter! They have rooms that traveling trainers can use."
"Alright let's go."
So with his new friend, Erika, Ash heads for the Viridian PokéCenter.
"(Yawn). What a day! I caught two Pokémon, beat two trainers, and got a new traveling partner. I wonder how tomorrow will be", Ash thought out aloud.
"Good night Ash." The words can from the bunk below him.
"Good night Erika."
In the middle of the night a russle came from outside. Two strangers were sneaking around. All was quiet until one of them spoke.
"Is he the one?", the man asked.
"Yeah, that's the one!", the girl answered.
"He doesn't look like someone that could catch the rarest Pokémon in the world."
"It doesn't matter. The boss wants that Pokémon okay!"
"Okay okay, calm down. Let's just get in and get out!"
"Alright. How can we get in?"
"Both the doors and the windows are locked."
In an nearby bush came a russle. A small circular Pokémon with big eyes anf short arms came out. "Hey you two! What are you doing?"
"Quiet Jigglypuff! You know why we're here! We have to get that Pokémon!", the girl ordered.
"Why do we have to steal it during the night? Let's wait until tomorrow!"
"No we have to get it now! Pound the door down!"
"Alright geez." The small Pokémon pulled back its little fist and launched it forward.
The door fell to the ground with a loud thud.
"Huh? Who's there?" Ash struggled his eyes to focus in the dark. "Who's there?"
"Freeze! Don't move! This is a stickup!", the girl yelled.
"Nobody move! Give us all your Pokémon!", the man followed.
"We don't need ALL the Pokémon! The boss only wants that blue thing!"
"You mean Pikablu?", Ash questioned. "Well you can't have it!" Ash put his fingers to his mouth and whistled. Suddenly there came a rumbling noise. "Alright Diglett let's show these creeps who's boss!"
"Ha! A Diglett! Is that all?", the man said. "Hey Liz show them a real Pokémon!"
The girl picked a Pokéball out of her pocket and threw it to the ground. "Let's go Krabby! Use your Crab Hammer attack!" A crap-like animal came from the ball and swung its pincher.
"Diglett, Dig!", Ash yelled to his Pokémon. Diglett flew underground invisible to all surface dwelers.
"Alright Bellsprout, go! Erika grab a Pokéball from her bedside and threw it near Krabby. "Hit it with Vine Whip!" The plant Pokémon launched its leaves as if they were swords, slice Krabby in the face.
"Krabby, return!", Liz commanded. "Your turn Tyler!"
"Go, Voltorb!". The man grabbed his Pokéball and slammed it down. A small sphereic Pokémon came out. "Thundershock the weed!" Voltorb emited a slight yellow aura around it. Then bolts of electricity flew out at the plant.
"Ha! Don't you know plant Pokémon are strong against lightning?", Erika asked.
"Diglett, resurface. Knock them out of here!", Ash ordered. Diglett flew up from the ground knocking the thieves into the air. "Alright! We got 'em!"
"Hey! What happened?" The small ballon Pokémon know as Jigglypuff was standing in the doorway. Frist it looked at Diglett, then at Ash, then at Bellsprout. "Uh-oh! I'm out of here!" It sucked in air and floated in the same direction of its counterparts.
"That was close!", Ash exclaimed. "Who were they?"
"That was Team Rocket." A woman was standing next to Erika wearing an apron and a funy little hat with a red cross on it.
"Who are you?", Ash asked?
"I am Nurse Joy. I take care of the sick Pokémon."
"So who's Team Rocket?"
"They are a band of criminals. They will do anything to get money and Pokémon. It's late! You kids should get back to bed."
The next day Ash and Erika started for Viridian Forest.
"There aren't very many Pokémon here!", Ash said to his companian.
"There's one! What is it?"
"I don't know. I'll check!" Ash pulled out his Pokédex.
"Weedle, a poisonous bug Pokémon. The spine on its head is filled with poison", Dexter told. Ash turnered around and Dexter spoke again. "Caterpie, a caterpiller Pokémon. It spits silk like string to render its opponent motionless."
"Wow! Two Pokémon", Ash yelled. "We can each have one!"
"Ok!", Erika agreed. "I want that one." Erika pointed to Caterpie.
"Ok. Then I'll take Weedle!" Ash whistled again for his mole Pokémon. "Diglett, Tackle!"
"Go Bellsprout!" Erika launched one of her Pokéballs. "Bellsprout, Wrap attack!"
Time passed as Erika and Ash battled the two caterpiller Pokémon. Each of them caught their 'designated' Pokémon.
They exited the forest with the second form of each of the Pokémon they just caught.
"Hey there's the gym." Ash stood staring at he building infront of him.
"Why don't you go battle him while I get some stuff at the mart", Erika suggested.
"Alright! I'm going to get my first badge now!", Ash exclaimed. "Mabey I should get Kakuna to gain some expierience first."
Ash back tracked to the field just beyond Pewter.
"A Rattata!", Ash yelled. "I'm gonna catch it! Diglett, let's go!"
Diglett surfaced and assumed fighting position.
"Oh wait a second! I wanted Kakuna to get some expierience. I guess badges are more important. Sorry Diglett! Go Kakuna!"
The evolved Weedle came from its Pokéball. It was a small Pokémon with yellow plates covering its body.
"When Weedle or Caterpie evolve they keep thier old attacks!", Ash told himself.
After many battles Ash's Pokémon received a great deal of expierience until...
"You're...evolving!", Ash yelled to his Pokémon. Kakuna's plates fell, one by one, until only the form of a Beedrill was left. "Dexter scan this."
"Beedrill", Dexter said," a poison-bug Pokémon. After gaining its wings it dives at its enemies and jabs them with its drill like hands."
Ash returned to Pewter, eager to get his first badge. Making his way toward the gym Ash was confronted by several oddly dressed people. Behind the group stood Liz and Tyler.
"Hey! You're those thieves!", Ash yelled.
"Ha! We'll have no trouble getting your little Pokémon now! Get'm boys!", Liz ordered.
"You didn't get Pikablu last time and you won't get him this time either! Go Beedrill, use you Pin Missle!"
The tips of Beedrill's arms shot off and reformed in a machine-gun like pattern.
"Hey!", the group yelled,"Stop it!" The group scampered off. Only Liz and Tyler remained.
"So Team Rocket do you give up?", Ash questioned.
"We don't give up. Our boss wants that Pokémon!", Tyler explained.
A voice shot out of nowhere,"To protect the world from devistation,".
"To unite all peoples within our nation", another voice yelled.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love,"
"To extend our reach to the stars above.
"Jessie."
"James."
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of life,"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight."
"Hi Jessie", Liz said gruffly." Where's your sidekick, Meowth?"
"Where he belongs, away from us!
"Hey James how's your baby Charmander James?", Tyler mocked.
"Baby? I'll show you what it can do! Charmander, go!", James ordered.
"Oh a battle huh? Go, Voltorb".
"You wanna battle Jessie?", Liz asked.
"Battle? With you it wont be much of one!", Jessie exclaimed.
"Oh really? Let's go Krabby."
"Alright Eevee let's make this quick!"
"Krabby, Crab Hammer!" The crab reached out and pinched the evolutional Pokémon.
"Fight back Eevee! Use your Take-Down!" Eevee ran under Krabby and flipped backwards landing on top of the upside Krabby. "No use your Rage-Tackle attack...to both of them!" Eevee dashed ,so fast that it was a blur, into the crab and its trainer.
"Liz!?", Tyler exclaimed. You got lucky James! Voltorb return! See you!" Tyler pushed a button on his belt buckle and a jetpack flared up. "We have lift off!" With that he flew into the sky.
A moment of silence occured until a rustling came about. It was Jigglypuff! "Oh not again! I'm threw with Liz and Tyler, those no-nothings."
"A Jigglypuff!", James yelled. "I'm going to catch it! Charmander Flamethrower!" The small dinosauric Pokémon created a small fire ball in its mouth then shot it out. "Alright Pokéball, go!"
The Pokémon dodged the ball. "Is that all you got? Well I'm outta here." Within seconds the Pokémon as out of sight.
"Hey where'd that kid go?", Jessie questioned.
"We've got to get that Pokémon!", James reminded.
During the Team Rocket tumble Ash made his way, secretly, to the gym.
"Let me in! I need to get my first badge!", Ash yelled to the locked gym door.
"Who's there?", a voice came from behind the door. "What do you want?"
"I want to battle your gym leader!"
"Brock? Fine! I'll go get him"
Ash steped inside the gym. It was one big room with a little hallway on one side. On the other side there was a shelf of Pokéballs. The man went into the hall and returned with the gym leader, Brock.
"So this is the chump that wants to battle me? Ok let's get started", Brock challenged.
"I'll chip your Pokémon down to size!"
"For my first Pokémon I choose Geodude!" Brock threw a Pokéball emiting a small boulder like Pokémon.
"Alright! Go, Beedrill! Use your Pin Missle!" Beedrill repeated his attack over and over.
"Geodude!!! Try to flatten it with a Body Slam."
"Yeah if you can catch it! Beedrill fly out of Geodude's reach."
"Try a Rock Throw!" Geodud created a rock ,above its head, and launched it at Beedrill. The flying-bug Pokémon fell to the ground with a thud.
"Oh! Beedrill, return! Let's go Pikablu! Use your Water Gun." Pikablu once again used its most common water attack again."
Parts of Geodude broke off and fell to the ground. "Geodude, return! Now I'll show you why the ceiling is so hogh! Let's go Onix!" The rock snake Pokémon stood about forty-one feet tall and was made up of many boulders out together. "Onix Slam it!" The Pokémon stood straight up and slammed down on top of Pikablu.
"Pikablu, come on back. Let's go Diglett!" Ash whistled for his underground Pokémon. "Split the ground with your Earthquake." Diglett went underground andnothing happened. Suddenly the ground began to shake.Onix fell an hit the wall beside it. After it hit the ground Diglett cam into view.
"Onix, return! You're a good trainer kid. Your Beedrill didn't look so good. Neither does your Diglett. It must of hurt itself during the quake. You can send them to where ever you got your Pokédex. There they will get healed to full recovery and you can battle with them again. By the way, here's your Boulder Badge."
"Thanks Brock. I'll send my Pokémon back to Professor Oak until they are completely healed."
"Ash! How'd the match go?" Erika was standing in the doorway to the gym with her Metapod in hand.
"Erika! Why do you have Metapod out?"
"I think it's evolving!"
"Evolving? Into what?"
The cacoon-covered Pokémon cracked open letting its evolved form loose.
"Metapod evolves into Butterfree", Brock informed.
Ash dropped off his two hurt Pokémon then headed east of Pewter towards Mt. Moon. As they closed in one the entrance to the cave shouts could be heard. Just ahead pople were standing next to a pile of boulders.
"What's going on?", Ash asked a man at the back of the crowd.
"The entrance to Mt. Moon has been blocked off by fallen rocks", the man said.
"Blocked off? Now we can't go on. I'll have to go back home now."
"Well...there is another way to get threw the mountain."
"How? How?"
The man looked up toward the sky. "You can try to climb to the top. There is someone who lives in the town atop the mountain."
"Up there? How can I get there?"
:There used to be a little gondola on the around the corner there!"
Ash and Erika rounded the corner to find the gondola. "There's the gondola!", Ash yelled. "Let's go."
"Ash! Be careful!"
"It seems alright."
"Yeah your right. Let's go!"
The two made their way up the mountain. All was going smooth until...
"Hey!", Ash cried out in surprise. "What was that?"
Little bug-sized matter flew from the mountain top.
"Go away!", a voice cried from above. "You're not wanted here!" Silence and time passed. "They're not stopping! Send out your Pokémon!" After the voices stopped a bunch of clicks came from above. "Pokémon, go! Use your Rock Throw!"
"Rock Pokémon huh? Go Pikablu! Wash them down with your Water Gun attack!"
The rocks broke apart and small pebbles fell down.
"The Pokémon aren't working! Cut the ropes", the voices cried.
"Hey stop it!", Ash yelled upward.
"We don't want your kind here! Get away!"
"Our kind? What do you mean?"
"Aren't you from Pewter?"
"We were in Pewter. After I got my badge we left."
"So you're not coming to destroy our town?"
"No! We were just trying to get around the mountain. The entrance is blocked by boulders."
"Oh! You can get in the mountain from up here! Hang on a sec! We'll help you up!"
After Ash and his companian got to the top, they were greated by the inhabitants of Peakton. "Welcome to our mountain top town. We thought you were coming to close down our city."
"No! We were trung to get -."
"Mt. Moon? Rest tonight. Tomorrow you can go into the mountain."
